Nigeria Election Evidence and Countering Misinformation Project (2022-2023)

This self-funded project worked to improve the overall news reporting climate of Nigeria’s 2023 general elections by training media professionals.

The training was focused on countering misinformation, monitoring and fact-checking misinformation activities on mainstream and social media, including campaign claims, and providing support for reporters working in areas with high threats of insecurity to report on the election, as well as several other activities.
