“Safety First, Story Next”

Conceptualized in the wake of the raging effect of the covid-19 pandemic especially as it became known to be contagious through cough or body fluids, hence the need to organize a workshop for journalists on safety.

In September 2020, Centre for Media, Policy and Accountability (CMPA) organized a one-day training workshop for journalists from local and national media in Nigeria to sensitize them on Covid-19 safety protocols in the course of their work. The workshop was attended by more than 60 reporters across the region.
